I don't mind having 'mini' hang outs to look around at cars and generally talk cars but that doesn't really happen around here. They are usually trying to start a fight and instigate an unfair race for some one. Guess thats why I enjoy carshows, I get to see awesome cars, gather ideas, chat cars and not worry about some punk kids.

I dont even like to bring my car out of the garage on the weekends. everywhere you drive you see this piece of shit cars trying to race you, and of course since my car looks good and has a decent sound to it they wanna follow me around to wherever Im going then when I get the strat reving up, yelling shit out the window. when i'm in town i usually stop by Britt David just to remember what it once was, but i leave within 5 minutes because the place has gone way down. i also used to enjoy meeting up at Columbus Coffee, but that was WAAAYYY back in the day (i'm sure jason remembers those nights).

Yea we definately need a new spot but soon after it will be swarmed with ricers. Wish there was a spot where we could have a say so as to who is allowed in. Most people at the other hangout spots are so uneducated bout cars. All they know is turbo and ahh ummm thats it. That really bothers me. Especially idoits who swear you have something on your car cause it idles differently. Like people swear my car has a cam but im like no thats cause im off one tooth on timing and iac is going out. And my favorite question " How much hp do you think you got". Its ok to ask that question if you know what the hell you talking bout but i just tell people what the manufactor gave me is how much i make. Numbers don't mean anything if you can't put it to the ground with a properly setup car. I've seen a 200hp car bust 13.2 so that shows power doesn't mean everything.

no matter where you go the idiots will follow. You cant get rid of them. I hate this because you cant have a civilized meet without some ricer fag throwing rev's to show off his uber kewl rev-limiter, or the idiot who thinks playing his stereo super loud and breaking the annoyance level is cool. The only way to deal with shit is have something like Cars & Coffee, INVITE only.

Example.. say we meet up at starbucks on manchester expressway. Everything is free once a month meet, except the coffee. You set the rules.. and people feel like those dont apply to them well we can remove them, or jank on em. I think the veterans parkway starbucks is just too small. Parking is a PITA and people get boxed in. Also the other non-car enthusiast have nowhere to park and thus cause loss of business. I seen it happen. The Manchester expressway starbucks is big enough if the GYM isnt packed out. I wouldnt mind talking to the manager of startbucks and trying to setup something. Maybe we can get a discount or something for having a big group.

I like coffee and cars, and fraternizing to a certain point. If there were more intelligent people in the parking lots i prolly would change my outlook on the topic..:cool:

You find the place and I'll deal with the CPD. I'll get it clear with Tre' and I'm sure we should be good. We've never had a problem in the parking lot of petsmart/target or BK on Veterans Parkway near the Civic Center. Just can't boom the music or mess around in the car like bouncing off the rev limiter or doughnuts, just good ole car talk...

Good news, got a meeting with the manager at startbucks on manchester expressway today at 530. Anyone got any idea's/questions you want me to address?

Im gonna see if we can set up a monthly meet / discounts, etc. I got a bunch of rules and guidelines I have wrote up and will address them at the meeting. Once i get details ill be updating here so, hopefully with good news!
