View Full Version : Taking Pics...
Believe my wife is going to snap some pics of my car to be used for the Calendar...she has a nice Cannon SLR I got her a couple months ago. Where are some good locations to snap some pics? I know parking garages and the infantry museum but like the look of more rustic places...

Really the best way I've found is to just drive around downtown.

TBH downtown columbus is overplayed.. to many people take pics of there car there and wore that look out. Its worth a drive, but try pine mountains old town, or maybe that small town between here and lagrange, i forgot the name of it.

if you're going up 27 you hit catula, hamilton, then pine mountain. west point also has a few nice locations, just don't get to close to the new kia plant. there are a lot of good places out in Harris County. my family's old store is probably where i want to take mine, and the traffic is so sparse that you can just set up in the road. Also, Callaway Gardens has some really nice spots, and if you really want to get in there I can give you directions on how to get in. ;)
Thanks for the ideas. My parents live out in Hamilton but really should be considered Fortson on Lake Harding. I'll cruise out there sometime this weekend and see what kind of shots I can get.

Lake Harding definitely has some nice areas too. You should be able to find something near your parents. I rarely go on the west side of the county, but I'm sure it's just as scenic over there.

that's one option, but i don't know if it's going to be green enough this time of year to be photogenic.
