TOTD & Cherohala Skyway Weekend

going to try and get a major planned weekend event going here. here's the details ( of course not set in stone yet )...

Dates: August 14 and 15, 2010
Locations: Deals Gap, NC and Robbinsville, NC ( Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway )

a planned weekend containing dragon run ( or runs :D ) and BBQ on Saturday. skyway run ( with lunch break at 5300 elevation ), dinner afterwords. we would stay in cabins. it would be cheaper to stay in cabins and split the daily rent rather than staying in hotels. cost estimate including food, cabins and gas would be $200-$400 per person/couple for the trip ( depending on how many people go and what size/many cabin/cabins needed ). keep in mind, more than one person/couple will be in each cabin and rates will be split. price rate examples and pics of cabins are on links below. its about a 6hr ride there. with such an early notice, i hope to see a good bit of people interested. a weekend full of DRIVING!, pics and gear-head chit-chat.

there are lots of different cabin rental companies, that is just one to get rates and pics. let me know what you guys think.

i'm definitely interested, i just don't like making plans.

I don't like needles, but i can think of some other fluid that doesnt require one. I would like to go. We have almost a year to go so my finances should look better.
