Okay, what happened to the Gators last night?!! They just couldn't get anything going on the offensive side of the ball and couldn't stop Bama with thier defense. I'm noet a big fan of either team (Bulldog fan) but I was pulling for the gators. I'm just glad i didn't put money on the game.

florida lost their huge defensive captain to a DUI...diot, they choked, bama is good but bama fans are still ignorant...for the most part, not all of them, i mean Tebo can only do so much, especially when the refs call NOTHING and i mean nothing against alabama, the 69 yd screen to ingram he was OB, there was a block in the back and a hold, there were 5 def pass interferences against alabama that were not called, but hey they won decisively...congrats to alabama in the natl championship, Texas isnt gonna take you guys so lightly like they did nebraska, if i wasnt a texas fan i would say i hope bama wins cause im an SEC fan lol

I agree, I'm a Florida fan, and I have been my whole life (Both parents grad. from UF). I was disappointed, but people shouldn't put so much pressure on Tebow, he's only human... I just wish we played better, we couldn't seem to put anything together. I will be rooting for Alabama against Texas tho, go SEC!

I didn't root for either team. I will root for any SEC team in bowl games though. I see the SEC as a dysfunctional family: we all hate on each other but we will root for each other when it matters.

since we bama fans are so ignorant, some one want to fill me in on what i'm (or we are) missing??
Glad to see BAMA win, can't stand the Gators or Auburn. I'm an OIe Miss fan, my dad played there...what else you want me to say? I was laughing when Tebow was crying on the sideline and had the offensive lineman over there rubbing his head trying to make him feel better. Gators have lost twice in two years and Tebow has broke down and cried at both. Anyone remember who was the only team to beat Florida last year??? Ole Miss 31-30

I'm an auburn. Will always be one. no real reason for any of the records this year. In the SEC you never know how a game is going to turn out. but I will not and no way being routing for alabama in the title game.

i agree, i want to know, i hear this alot.
btw, im a buckeye fan, so it dont care who wins
College Football is pretty much everyone versus the SEC. The SEC conference is HATED and is highly quoted as being 'over-rated!" To me as long as an SEC team wins their respected bowl game I'm a happy camper. When UTAH beat BAMA last year that cause even more doubt about how good the SEC really was. Then again having Ole Miss tear up Texas Tech was a help and then Florida winning the National Title. If I was an Auburn fan I would be pulling for BAMA in the title game. Sounds a lot better saving you almost beat the national champs then saving well we almost be the second best team! I sure hope Cincinnati doesn't beat FL this year! Look on foxsports.com and some of the others, under each report about the game they let people log in and quote about the game, the majority of it is people bashing the SEC.

ha the SEC is under-rated the SEC is the best conference in college football...and in case you cant read i said MOST bama fans are ignorant...i did not say j-stang you are ignorant...dont kno you cant make that assumption, but 95% of the bama fans i kno persoally, which is alot of people seein as how i live in alabama, are ignorant when it come to football...95% is majority...and to laugh at someone who cries because they lost one of their last games and especially one as important as that just shows lack of class...trust me if bama had lost mcelroy would have cried just like ingram would have as well as javier arenas, its what you do when you lose something that matters to you...lack of class=ignorance to an extent, sorry if i offend anyone but its the truth...and i praise SEC schools over any other conference, but just so happen to be a texas fan cause i was gonna go to school there

Took the words right out of my mouth man...I've been explaining that to fans of every team at school, and it's starting to get really old... I don't see how people think its funny:confused:... I would have done the same thing and cried too.

haha i dont take offence i was just putting you up to see if you actually had any grounds for saying that (so far you dont.)
i dont blame the guy for crying. i would too. and we showed more than enough class this year. you never herd any of our players say anything negitive. we played with integrity. we probably could have scored again in the florida game but we showed class and just ran the clock off. an lol you you darn good an well if your team had been pinned against the most praise man in football and you sweep him off his feet, that you and all the fanatics wouldnt be just giddy happy about it and even to an extent exploit his showing of weakness (play on words here.)
your probably acting now just like i would if we had lost, trying to analyze any and everything you could trying to say most bama fans are dumb for there excitement (although sometimes misdirected).
i understand all who say they are bama haters and would never pull for bama no matter. i feel the same way about auburn. it has nothing to do with the school its the arrogant, sore sorry losers that i know many of them to be. you could even see this in there game against us. there was some very dirty playing going on it that game. its what happens though when you have a great program and it falls apart.
in short, you cant blame us for being proud of our accomplishments. i might would be saying the same things you are if the tables were turned. and it sounds like you might need to find better friends (bama fans) if they are all football stupid. aha
btw SEC ftw! i believe if alabama dont get stupid over this break texas is gonna look like a high school team.
theboostedsnail
12-07-2009, 11:32 PM
there is a difference in bein proud and arrogant, i never said the players were classless, the players never said a word about tebow crying its the IGNORANT fans, and there is nothing wrong with bein excited for your team winning, but to pick fun at someone who is better person than near bout everyone is both ignorant and classless...i have plenty of proof and no one said it was only alabama fans, all SEC fans think their team is the greatest, well hell most fans for any major school...believe i used to live in florida and even the bama fans there all rode the dead bear train, that they were the greatest thing since sliced bread...granted not takin anything from alabama they are a great team this year no doubt about that, if the win the national championship props to them, and honestly if it was anyone else playin them besides texas i would want albama to win because they are SEC...so dont try and tell me how i have no proof because i have given you more than enough reasons, actions you perform create what you are...and for the most part bama fans are ignorant...also seein as how i am not a gator fan your claim as me just analyzing is wrong, its obvious and most agree that for the most part bama fans are ignorant and classless...not the players.
p.s. if you knew julio all he can do is get stupid over the break lol and Texas is not #2 for no reason, they have a whole month to prepare its not gonna be a blow out

I usually go for the 12 pack myself. :D
In all honesty I see your point. Yeah I'm a Georgia fan, but nothing I do affects the team. I honestly root for them because I go to school here, and their accomplishments on the field mean the University gets more attention and more money. That and it never hurts for some bragging rights, since people are never interested in the research we are doing in the Math Education department.

lol, you dont say we when you talking about an institution you support?
yes because i support the team it is "our" accomplishment.
and by support i do mean more than just screaming at the tv while they play.
@ boosted,
so its more of a personal reason as to why you dont like bama fans.
i understand that completely. i have a similar hatred for most auburn fans. i cant stand them and dont care too much for the school its self because of some of them i know (players included). an we have somewhat of an example of that right here in this thread.
an on the tebow thing, isnt it just human nature to like to see the good guy fall? like the boss man at work tripping at work in front of every one. immature....yes, very, but its little things like that that remind us that even the big guys are human and are not out of reach. i really like tebow, hes a stand up guy, i am gonna be a fan through out his career. and when i'm old and my kids get into foot ball i'll be able to say i've seen the great tebow play when he was in college.
and texas is number 2 for a reason. but its not because they are the second best team in the nation, because there not.
its gonna be a great game.
its all good an fun here please dont take anything i'm saying personal i'm certanly not trying to start anything.
lol it was like.... hey who you callin ignant? you lee my cousin/sister/aunt alone. haha i love alabama (the whole state) jokes.

believe it or not. TCU would be a better match up for bamma than texas is going to be.
Kind of disappointed TCU and Boise State are playing was really looking forward to one of them playing big conference teams just for comparison. I'll have my eyes on the cotton bowl again this years.

Personally I think Texas is gonna get whooped...Idk, it just seems like they've had to many close calls with not so good teams. Just my opinion tho. I also think that TCU and Boise is a good match-up because they both play in small conferences and would probably get beaten by say an SEC team.
theboostedsnail
12-08-2009, 10:44 PM
you cant really say that and be valid because the teams other than nebraska that they had any trouble with were all in state rival teams, and bama had a close game with the one in state rivel they played...Texas and alabama have a month to prepare, i think it will be a good game, and you as well as me kno you want it to be a good game cause no one likes a sucky national championship.
@j-stang
i dont any offense to it, its sport there are more serious things in life, but i pull for troy since i go there and we got a better bowl game than alot of a SEC teams lol...but i dont kno you or your family, i was making a general consensus on the hundreds of albama fans i kno personally, ignorance is not limited to alabama fans by any means there are plenty of ignorant georgia, auburn, etc...but in all honesty auburn is almost as bad as bama, but they dont have as much history to fall back on as bama fans, thank god, i couldnt handle both of them lol...but its all in good fun no hatred towards anyone on here just arguing...
