I know this was in another thread, but I wanted to remind everyone about it. If all goes as planned I should be there in my '03, with a couple new additions (no the turbo won't be on). Hopefully we can all meet up and have a good time.

$3 for 1, $5 for 2. I'll only have 10, but I can get more if that many people are interested. I still have some boost tech ones too. Buy one AEP get a free boost tech while supplies last (and if I can find them).

They will be the font in my sig, about 10" long.

Sissy. The show at Cook's I went to last year around this time (I think it was early February), I washed my car and it was freezing before I could dry it.

Bump. Show is in 5 days so get ready. I'm thinking about giving a free AEP sticker to members who enter the show, so show up and support the local scene. Granted there is a small chance the stickers won't be here (thanks to today's holiday for the post office), but they should be in.

Has anyone decided on where the meet will be after the show. I would like to make the show but i might can't. Fiance' pregnant and don't wanna be up that early so a get together afterward would be great. I don't know many people on the forum but i would really like to meet you guys face to face.

I've called around to a couple mobile detailing guys and they are all booked up. How hard is it to find someone to wash a 2-door sports car for $25? I'll probably end up doing after work myself, really didn't want to since I'm still kind of sick. See you all at the show, I'll try and stop by the cars I remember from here to introduce myself. Otherwise I should be around my car somewhere or helping Wayne manage the show. I'll probably have a Mustang shirt on for ease of recognition. lol

$25 dollars...for a good job? There's a black guy that walks around my complex during the summer that will do it, but I haven't seen him.

Don't believe CCS can win anything so most of the stangz there you don't have to worry about. Mine will be there showing with no chance of winning but that is fine with me. Most people just want to hear my car cranked...I'm planning on staying the whole time and eating at Cook's for lunch. I haven't chatted with Wayne but believe he was going to pick some people around the show to do some judging and not just mustang guys. Waynes show always has a good turn out but this being a reschedule due to rain on 12/10/09 not sure! Should be a great day weather wise...

the show was a lot of fun, the judging was kinda sketch though. i was planning to get pics of all the cars there (some really nice stuff), but i wanted to wait to see if the judge had any questions about my car. next thing i knew BOOM time to give out trophies. no big deal, i just wish i would've known ahead of time.

it was great to get people out, even with the cold weather. kevo, 98dsm, zero, the legend, boosted347, steam hammer, j-stang, and myself all made it to the show (i think that was everyone). discontained showed up as it was ending, but at least he had a good excuse. and i got to meet discostik late night. pretty great day overall.

Yeah, I'll agree with a couple stuff about the show and I also like to here the make and model of the cars that won instead of just a number. Granted I knew the majority of who owns what car but just calling out a number seemed kind of weird. Got a couple flyers for a few more shows coming up...looks like they are in April. It was nice to have met everyone...couldn't make the meet that night, wife/kid wanted to spend some time together. Here is my number if anyone ever gets up again and maybe I don't see the post.

I never go to shows expecting to win anyway since my car is definitely not a show car. I just go to support my club and the scene. We need a dirty class and I could probably win. Lol.


Another things is not many people have respect still for the imports especially around here. Plus us 6, we'll count Will, were the only imports there to represent. What happened to the other clubs??

My car was made in Mexico. It's an import. ;)

I usually like to call it the sport compact scene. :lever:

The main problem I see is most sport compact owners would rather hang out late at night than at a car show. They also don't really have interest in keeping a car show quality. Not to mention most lurk on Import Atlanta and don't even realize Columbus has their own forum. I've considered posting up events on IA but not many people know me and I'd probably get neg repped continually. This could easily change, but it's gonna take some effort and people changing their ideas about shows.

Ya this is true, there were like 0 cars other than us that were made in other places than US. My cars definitely not a show car, but its still fun to go and do. I like seeing other cars and having people ask me questions and stuff about my car. :) Plus its a good way to meet people and bring them into the scene. I know most people dont know about the Columbus forums. Shoot I didnt until a year ago. I will keep recommending people to the site whenever I get the chance though.
