That makes no sense. They are both car shows correct? It's not like comparing apples to oranges, it's more like comparing a small local car show (which is what it is) to a large show like Nopi Nationals (when it was in play). You're termonology is out of context.

Believe the apples to oranges reference was suggesting that the ALL VW Gathering(apples) to typical car show (oranges) is quite different. Going to one location and seeing varying styles of the same vehicles help give ideas and inspiration plus you know everything there is a car you like. Kind of like when I went to the ALL Ford National Event in Pensacola. It blew away any other show I've been to just because there was other 1000 Fords there with 500+ being mustangs alone. I was in heaven!

everytime i attend a car show in Columbus, it's always the same cars over and over again...due to it being a local show. plus the quality of cars will be dramatically lower ( not all, but on an average scale ) in a local show than SoWo ( or any large scale show ). it just all depends on what you want to look at and how much fun you want to have. i will be more than likely going to SoWo with the wife and kid. Should be a fun time.

Well, as I said before, the original comment was meant "tongue-and-cheek," but I understand where you guys are coming from. BUT, wouldn't it be nice to have a big show like that in Columbus? The more support we get the bigger it will be each year. We aren't just a local club. Holy Rollerz has almost 600 members across the world and 99% + of them are here in the US. We all support each other. Which means that we can have the potential to reach on a huge level for promoting, but this show has to be at least successful enough to break even for this year so we can do it again. Who knows? Maybe by next year we can get enough that the year after that people will start pre registering. Ask Steamhammer, I am chock full of ideas, lol. I am also very passionate and enthusiastic when it comes to things I believe in. I believe that this has the potential to be huge, but as I stated, we need the support. Sure we might have the same cars that you see at every show, but what about next year? lol Okay I'm stepping down off my soap box. sorry for jacking the thread :focus: SOWO does sound like it's gonna be off the hook.

yea but ithink the main reason the say that is cause the euroscene which is wut they all are into is very sluouch and lack luster in columbus no one really owns or show them in the area...thats why i think they choose SOWO over tuner revolution...but either way dean wish i could make it but got early finals the following monday so its a no go :(

I probably wont leave until Friday afternoon since nothing is happening till late. I say we meet up at the exit 19 Chevron and head out from there its about a 3 hour drive. We need to get this thing rolling though, I want to room with a group of people since we can split the cost and be near everything so we don't have to drive much.
