View Full Version : P71 Crown Vic - Police Interceptor
As some might know I'm currently looking for a either a cheap DD or a project car and keep my stang as my DD. I'm playing with the thoughts of either a '98-'02 Expedition or a '00-'03 Crown Vic P71 Police Interceptor. I have a kid so 4-doors is a must! I thought the Crown Vic would be nice as a project car since I know quite a bit about FORD's Mod motors. Thought it might be interested to have a lightened (as much as possible) Crown Vic with DOHC 5.4L out of a Lightning or GT500 or maybe just build a 4.6L for boost. Upgrade suspension, axles, throw on some drag radials and ride on out. Black is a must and maybe find some Mercury Marauder Rims along with the front brushguard maybe even a tag that says "GotCha"....Just given some thoughts that I had in my head!
500+rwhp in a Crown Vic could be fun? Guess I need to research about transmissions and seeing what will work/fit...could probably build the auto that comes in the car to handle the extra power...

Buddy of mine sold one not too long ago that had the mustang gt motor in it with a vortech supercharger. Might have seen it for sale at Express oil change by Lowes.

Yes, it was def clean. I think he sold it with some 20" boyd coddingtons on it. I don't think I've seen it. Not sure who he sold it to.
Never got the chance to see it...just thought it would be an interesting setup. Believe a truck/SUV would sever as a better DD for me though. Having the wife's '07 Sentra and my stang aren't very good at hauling stuff. Looking for a '98-'03 Expedition 4x4 with tow package (for the boat). Hopefully after our taxes come in and we pay off a couple bills we will make way for getting another vehicle.
