Let's start with one that article is not valid to me by any means cause it was done in someones bedroom, next I never said u could use any coolant, just stated all coolant serves the same purpose/function...next on the list is on the corrosion factor audi/vw designs their cars to use only their product,same with gm and dexcool...but back to the topic of teh audi yes I agree you should use g12 as it is designed to use it...but in general it does not cool any better than peak or prestone, it's just the only coolant that works in the audi...so overall I didn't look "silly" but I did learn some new things from the audizine ;)

LOL i never said it cools better or worse than any other brand, i said its superior protection which means it protects better from Corrosion, and metal fatigue and pitting. But then again coolant just cools and doesn't do much else right? There are reasons why VW/Audi use it and im sure explaining it to you will be trying to beat a dead horse so ill just leave it at that.

Ha don't act like I'm ignorant mike the reason they use it is because they designed and made the car to use it only all it takes Is one minute change in casting materials to make their be a different reaction with regular coolant and not with g12...hell I mean aluminum doesn't rust but if you run straight water in a car with aluminum heads they will rust...the overall protection of g12 is not superior to antifreeze it's just made for the car...I mean ask yourself this, if you made cars would you like people going else where to get their parts? No you would want to make more money by making your car use a certain kind of part that's made for the car. And just cause it's an audi or vw doesn't make it superior to other makes
