Okay guys, APR customer appreciation BBQ ten is ON!

last year was pretty legit, this year should be bigger. raffles, food, bands, and A LOT of cars from all over the place. this is a must attend event for us and like i stated earlier, we should advertise the hell out of the howard johnson downtown and this event is on a saturday so itd be nice for everyone who attends the show to stick around in columbus, get together at the hojo downtown and go out to the bars (walking distance of course...).

what do you guys think? we can advertise it on fb, have a event made up which we can advertise on the APR fb page.

it was legit!
i had a great time. the only downside was that hellish speed bump as youre going UP the APR driveway. im sure they will have some fix for that this year. they eventually had plywood on it towards the end of the show so people could get out haha

i posted up a quick comment on the APR fb page about the intent to get some people to stay for a gtg the night of the bbq.

i also posted a couple times on the regional thread for the bbq itself. along with a map from mapquest and more of a specific idea to get together big.
so well see where it goesssss

unfortunately nah. cause of the tire situation. i dont wanna risk any further damage by blowing out on the side of the road.

went ahead and ordered a second tire so theyll be here late next week. gonna cut down on my driving habits and be ready to roll hard to any events and really looking forward to this bbq. thinking about investing in jackstands and also keeping the lb's here in at my barracks and rolling on them other than for shows

plan is to ground her until my company gets back from the field. when the wheels come in ill get some jack stands, put her up on them, take the front wheels off down to big t, have em wrapped, and before they go back on, do some more fender work. maybe ditch some plastic under there.

Hells to the ya. I have been planning on coming back for the show for awhile now. Gonna be siiicckkk. I need to either get the fenders rolled this weekend or when I get there next weekend so I can drop the car down in the front some more. Possibly getting a skid plate too :D I'll be back in ctown Thursday late so I'm down for whatever that weekend.

Anyone down for some serious detailing Friday? I have to clean the fuck outta my car its durty. And installing/adjusting final touches for the show. I CANT WAIT.

I know :( but ya he knows of another (probably cheaper) place in ATL. They have an AWD dyno there but idk if its open for use to anyone Lex. And GLIs I'm positive are FWD only AWD VW's come with 4motion or the huxley system.

APR wont let you use there dyno unless you buy something really expensive from them.. I already tried haha.. Best place for AWD dyno/tunes etc. is Top Speed in atlanta. I actually talked to them and they are pretty legit. Talked to the owner and he said they deal with alot of Porsches and shit so. They also have a facebook page with some ballin shit.

I plan on going there when I get some money to blow

I think the only awd version called 4motion is the R32, and the Passat in the VW lineups. I could be wrong. I dont know shit bout vw lol. The Audi Quattro comes in most model line up.

They have the dyno that attaches to your hubs, non roller style. Im sure if they would let you use it they would charge you $400/hr, seems the going rate for something with APR name on it. I really dont like APR however some of there products are legit and can be few of the better ones, but paying some serious beans for a exhaust, stage 3 turbo thats not bigger than stock that costs more than a badass BT swap/build. Meh.. anyway ramble ramble

I agree, most of their shit is pretty nice. All good quality but damn do you pay for it. The Huxley system is what VW uses on the R32 and I believe its 80/20. 4motion is used on various models like the VR6 and the Passat which I think is 90/10 or something. I looked all of this up a while back but I dont remember now.
